Prepaid services are ideal if you want control over costs, predictable usage, and near-global satellite coverage (excluding polar regions).

What Is an Inmarsat Prepaid Plan?

With an IsatPhone prepaid SIM card:

• You purchase a fixed amount of airtime units to use within a defined expiry period.

• There is no contract or monthly fee. You only pay for what you need.

• You must monitor your balance and expiry to ensure you have airtime when needed. You can enable or disable auto-refill from My Account.

• You can refill your prepaid card at any time.

• Call and usage records are not available for prepaid services.

• One minute of airtime uses 1.5 units.

• One SMS message uses 0.6 units.

Airtime Usage Rates (Burn Rates)

• Incoming calls and SMS are free.

Before Activation

• Your SIM card is not activated when shipped to prevent airtime from expiring during delivery.

• Once received, you can activate your SIM at any time through your online account.

• You have 12 months from the purchase date to activate your SIM card.

After Activation

• Insert the SIM card into your IsatPhone device.

• Take the device outdoors, power it on, and allow it to register with the network.

• Once connected, you will be able to make and receive calls.
