Iridium 9555 - How to Install and Remove the Battery

Follow the steps below to safely remove or install the battery on your Iridium 9555 satellite phone.

Removing the Battery

Important: Always turn off the phone before removing the battery.

1. Locate the battery release latch at the top of the battery.

2. Slide the latch towards the top of the phone to unlock the battery.

3. Lift the top edge of the battery out first.

4. Gently slide the battery out complete

Installing the Battery

1. Align the battery contacts with the contacts inside the battery compartment.

2. Insert the bottom end of the battery into the compartment first.

3. Rotate the top end of the battery down toward the phone.

4. Press the battery firmly until it clicks and sits flush with the back of the phone.

Note: The battery should click into place and be held securely by the battery latch.
