Iridium 9555 - How to Lock and Unlock the Keypad

The keypad lock feature helps prevent accidental calls or button presses while your Iridium 9555 is stored in a pocket, bag, or other confined space.

About the Keypad Lock

• When the keypad is locked, all keys except the power key are disabled.
• You can still answer incoming calls by pressing the green key, even if the keypad is locked.
• A lock icon will appear on the main screen when the keypad is locked.

Locking the Keypad

1. Press the left soft key to open the Menu.
2. Press and hold the asterisk (*) key until the screen displays Keypad Locked.
3. A lock symbol will appear on the main screen to confirm.

Unlocking the Keypad

1. Press the left soft key to Unlock.
2. Press and hold the asterisk (*) key until the screen displays Keypad Unlocked.
3. The lock symbol will disappear from the main screen.
