The maximum altitude that an inReach device will report is 18,000 meters (60,000 feet). inReach devices, like all commercial GPS devices, are limited by CoCom agreements that dictate GPS tracking is to be disabled when a device reports speeds in excess of 1,900 km/h (1,200 mph) and altitudes greater than 18,000 meters (60,000 feet).
