Sending Facebook, Twitter, and MapShare Messages From Earthmate on Android

To send a message to Facebook and Twitter you must first link your accounts with the explore.garmin.com portal. Instructions for doing so can be found here.

Once completed follow the instructions below:

Note: Replies from Facebook and Twitter will not appear on the device. Replies from MapShare will route back to your device.

Solution 1: Send a message to Facebook

1. Open the Earthmate app.

2. Tap on the menu button .

3. Tap on Messages.

4. Tap on the message thread labelled "Facebook - To post a status update to Facebook, reply to this message thread."

5. Compose the message and then tap on Send.

Solution 2: Send a message to Twitter

1. Open the Earthmate app.

2. Tap on the menu button .

3. Tap on Messages.

4. Tap on the message thread labelled "Twitter - To post a status update to Twitter, reply to this message thread."

5. Compose the message and then tap on Send.

Solution 3: Send a message to MapShare

1. Open the Earthmate app.

2. Tap on the menu button .

3. Tap on Messages.

4. Tap on the message thread labelled "MapShare - To post a status update to Twitter, reply to this message thread."

5. Compose the message and then tap on Send.
