Iridium GO! - PredictWind App – Roadpost

PredictWind is a maritime weather app that is included with the Iridium GO! and Iridium GO! exec.

The PredictWind app may be downloaded directly from the Google Play store or the Apple App store, you may also tap on the PredictWind app icon in the Iridium GO! Mail and Web App

Using PredictWind Offshore:

Open the PredictWind Offshore application from the Iridium Mail & Web app or the dedicated PredictWind Offshore icon on your home screen
Select the one of the menus from the list (I.e. GRIB Offshore). Note: High resolution GRIB files are only available with a Standard/Professional account.
Define your route by dragging the start and finish pins on the map
Select the Download button to start downloading your GRIB files. You have the option to select parameters such as Wind, Rain, Wave, Cloud, Temperature and more.
When you're ready to download, select Continue to Download. The size of the download will be displayed and will vary based on the options selected.
Select the method of download for your GRIB files. Select Web to download using your cellular data or Wi-Fi connection. Select Iridium GO! to download using your Iridium GO!. Note: You must be connected to the Iridium GO! Wi-Fi hotspot before proceeding.
Confirm the Iridium GO! has been detected and verify you have good signal strength
Select Download All to begin downloading the GRIB files. If the connection is dropped or a download fails, you can resume the download by selecting Download All. Note: PredictWind Offshore is automatically configured to work with the Iridium GO!
Once your download has finished, select Close to begin viewing the downloaded GRIB files
The GRIB files from your latest download are automatically displayed and can be animated by using the control menus at the bottom of the screen
