Your Iridium Extreme® can call cell phones, landlines, or other Iridium satellite phones from virtually anywhere in the world. This guide walks you through how to place a call correctly and what to do if you see a network error message.
Tip: For the best connection, always make calls outdoors with a clear view of the sky and the antenna extended.
Before You Begin
Make sure your phone shows Registered on the screen.
You should see at least 2–3 signal bars before dialing.
Extend the antenna and point it straight up for the strongest signal.
Steps to Place a Call
Check signal and registration. Ensure you have a clear, unobstructed view of the sky. The display should show at least two signal bars and the word Registered.
