Iridium Extreme - Locating the Model Number

To identify the exact model number of your Iridium Extreme 9575,  please follow the steps below. This information is useful for checking battery compatibility or confirming device details for support.

How to Locate the Model Number

1. Turn the D-ring to the vertical position and remove the battery from the back of the device.

2. Inside the battery compartment, you’ll find two labels or stickers.

   • Look for the yellow sticker — it displays the model number next to the label "Model" and the country of assembly.

Important Battery Compatibility Information

BlueCosmo offers new Iridium Extreme batteries, but they are not compatible with certain older device models.

Your Iridium Extreme may be incompatible with the new batteries if it meets any of the following conditions:

• The yellow label shows "Assembled in Malaysia".

• The model number is lower than ‘J’ (e.g., 9575A through 9575I).

• The device was manufactured in 2015 or earlier.

• The revision number (found on the second row of the white sticker) falls between:
  IRID0215A and IRID0215Z04

Note: Revision codes that begin with IRID0215ABxx are considered newer than IRID0215Zxx and are compatible with the new batteries.

Iridium has discontinued production of batteries compatible with these earlier device models.
