If you have an Iridium 9555 that has not been used for an extended period of time, you may notice the time and date are incorrect and do not update automatically, even after connecting to the satellite network.
On March 3, 2015, Iridium completed an Epoch that required phones to follow the procedure below to display the correct time.
Restore Time and Date Settings
- From the dial pad, enter:
*#99#2014051114235500# - Press the green call key.
- Turn off the handset.
- Turn the handset back on.
- Wait for the device to register on the Iridium network.
Once registered, the phone will update to the correct time and date.
If the Time or Data is Still Incorrect
Check and adjust the time zone settings:
- Press Menu.
- Scroll to Setup and press Select.
- Scroll to Time & Date and press Select.
- Scroll to Select Time Zone and press Select.
- Choose the correct UTC time zone for your location and press Select.
The device will now display the accurate local time and date.
