Isatphone 2 - Firmware Update

Checking firmware version of Isatphone 2 prior to updating:

Menu > Settings > About > Firmware version

IMPORTANT: The IsatPhone 2 is available in two models, Model 2.0 and the Model 2.1. When completing the update to your phone please make sure you follow the instructions and download the software for your model.

The latest firmware versions for each model are:

IsatPhone 2 (Model 2.0) firmware version 02.00.03 

Isatphone 2 (Model 2.1) firmware version 01.00.13. 

How do I identify the new IsatPhone 2 (Model 2.1)?
The new ‘Model: 2.1’ details are displayed on the outside of the phone’s packaging and on the CE label inside the handset. You can also identify the model by going to the ‘About’ menu setting of the handset.

FIRMWARE UPDATE FILES

The firmware downloads for both models, Firmware Upgrade Tool, and USB drivers can all be found Here.

Make sure the proper Model number is selected on the Inmarsat website before downloading any of the files. 

IMPORTANT: You need to install the USB drivers before installing the Firmware Upgrade Tool.

If this was not done, then uninstall both the USB drivers and the Upgrade tool, reboot the laptop and install the USB drivers first then the firmware upgrade tool. 
If the USB drivers were installed correctly and you still have an issue, please power the off the IsatPhone for 30 minutes, then restart the unit and try the upgrade again. 

Note: The firmware update utility is not compatible with Mac OSX. You will need a Windows computer.
