Enabling MapShare in the Explore portal

Let your friends, family, and colleagues see where you are with MapShare!

To enable MapShare follow the steps below

1. Login to the inReach Portal explore.garmin.com
2. Navigate to the Social tab
3. Click on MapShare: Off button to enable MapShare
4. Once MapShare has been enabled, the MapShare button will display MapShare: On 
5. Click on Map Share Settings or Filter MapShare Data buttons to configure MapShare 
6. Set your MapShare preferences by going through each of the options displayed
7. Click the Save Changes button to save your MapShare configuration 
8. Once you have saved the MapShare configuration, you can email a link to your friends and family along with an explanatory message by clicking on the Email button 

NOTE: You can also send a link to your MapShare from your inReach when you are on your trip, just in case you forgot to let someone know until you were already traveling.
