How to set the battery profile on inReach (Original)
IMPORTANT
Performing a factory reset or a firmware update to an inReach device may delete the battery profile from the unit. Make sure to set the battery profile of the inReach device again after performing either of these steps.
Checking the Battery Profile of an inReach
- Press and hold the Power and Messages buttons on the inReach device.
Note: This can be done with the inReach on or off. - The Message LED will flash to indicate the current battery profile.
- If the Message LED flashes one (1) time the inReach device is set to use lithium batteries.
- If the Message LED flashes two (2) times the inReach device is set to use alkaline batteries.
- If the Message LED flashes three (3) times the inReach device is set to use NiMH batteries.
- If the Message LED flashes one (1) time the inReach device is set to use lithium batteries.
Setting Battery Profile to Lithium
- Press and hold the Power and Messages buttons on the inReach device.
Note: This can be done with the inReach on or off. - Continue holding both the Power and Messages buttons until the Message LED flashes one time.
The inReach is now set to use lithium batteries.
Setting Battery Profile to Alkaline
- Press and hold the Power and Messages buttons on the inReach device.
Note: This can be done with the inReach on or off. - Continue holding both the Power and Messages buttons until the Message LED flashes two times in rapid succession.
The inReach is now set to use alkaline batteries.
Setting Battery Profile to NiMH
- Press and hold the Power and Messages buttons on the inReach device.
Note: This can be done with the inReach on or off. - Continue holding both the Power and Messages buttons until the Message LED flashes three times in rapid succession.
The inReach is now set to use NiMH batteries.
